Why designers trust her

She knows how designers work.

Jane has built her career working alongside interior designers and creative professionals. She understands that a rendering has to do more than show what goes where. It has to communicate what you see, to a client who may not see it yet.

The reputation

“Jane is perhaps the top interior design illustrator south of New York.”

Ted Fine, President, Fine Design & Interiors
From a designer

What she actually is

An interpreter of your vision.

The plan shows the layout. The selections provide the pieces. But before the space exists, the designer is the one who sees how it all comes together. Jane sees what you see.

She works from your plans, furnishings, fabrics, finishes, references, and conversation, turning your vision into something your client can see and understand. The drawing is the finished product. Jane brings to it an understanding of design, an ability to listen, and an instinct for what matters in the presentation.

“Our client couldn’t envision what we had imagined. Jane’s rendering made it real, and we closed the sale.”

Kenneth Crawford · Kenneth Crawford Interiors

“We were bidding a major job with strong competition. Jane’s renderings made us stand out. Her work was delivered with speed and reliability under a tight presentation deadline.”

Bernice Nathans · Nathans Luxury Interiors

“When the job called for something special, we called Jane. There was no need for handholding. She fit in immediately and felt like part of our firm.”

In her own words

Jane’s story.

My grandfather loved to draw. He loved to illustrate poetry and give it to his friends. His greatest dream was to study art and become a commercial artist. His parents said no, and he never had the chance to reach his potential. I feel that my work honors my grandfather, his dreams, and my family heritage.

I knew I was going to be an artist when I was five. I was dubbed “the best artist in the first grade” and “most artistic” in high school. From the age of ten, Saturdays meant art lessons. I studied at the Cleveland Museum of Art and, while in high school, at the Cleveland Institute of Art. I went on to earn my BFA in Illustration from Syracuse University.

My professional work brought me into the world of architecture and interior design, where I discovered something I loved: helping designers turn what they envisioned into something their clients could see and understand. My renderings for the design trade have been called “among the finest in America.”

But creating has never stopped at professional illustration. I paint, draw, photograph, and work digitally. Sometimes one medium becomes the finished piece; sometimes it becomes the beginning of something entirely different.

I am, and I have always been, an artist.

What it’s like to work with her

She knows how this works.

  • BriefingSend what you already have: floor plans, elevations, furnishings, fabrics, finishes, reference photos. Then tell Jane what you see.
  • DeadlinesThe date you give is the date you get. Jane understands that presentation calendars don’t move.
  • RevisionsA concept sketch confirms the viewpoint, composition, and direction before the refined rendering begins.
  • DiscretionShe works behind your firm’s name. Renderings are yours to present as your firm’s work.
  • AvailabilityA limited number of projects at a time, by choice. That is what keeps the deadline promise real.

The fastest way to judge any of this is to hand her a plan and see what comes back.
